WWE's 15 Hottest Stars Of The Summer Since 2001

4. AJ Lee - 2012

I could go with the easy answer of CM Punk given he had back-to-back seasons where he was the hottest star of the summer. And while he did dominate the year of 2012 as champion, AJ Lee's incredible impact on the WWE landscape that year should not go unnoticed.

In fact, if there was any time period where she shined her brightest, it was that summer. In June, she was in the middle of a love triangle with CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and Kane, all of whom she locked lips with at one point or another. As enjoyable of a program as Punk vs. Bryan was over the WWE Championship, AJ was the crux of the storyline and the highlight of the flagship show each week.

WWE went all the way in capitalizing off her immense popularity by appointing her the new Raw general manager, and thus her chaotic (and crazy) authoritative stint was underway. For the first time in many years, one of the most over on-air personalities on WWE TV was a woman, and she didn't even wrestle! Or at least not at that time, and she didn't need to. She was already entertaining enough as it was.
