WWE: 5 Awesome Feuds And 5 That Sucked

5. The Undertaker vs DDP

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYsuGdJXnhc Entire books could be written about the disaster that was the 2001 Invasion angle in WWF/E. Vinny Mac had finally shut down his competition WCW, and had purchased said competition for little money, that had more people known it was so cheap they probably would have bought it themselves. What should have followed said purchases should have been one of the biggest angles in the history of professional wrestling. It could have been the NWO ratcheted up to 1000. It could have changed the business forever. It didn't. The biggest names in WCW were actually being paid by Turner Broadcasting and not WCW, and therefore rather than come into WWF/E and negotiate new deals, got paid very large sums of money to sit at home. I sure wish I could find a deal like that. Anyways, WWF/E was forced to start the invasion angle with some very talented but far less big name talent. While some may disagree with the following statement, I will say that one of the biggest name people that did come into the company was one Diamond Dallas Page. DDP got into the business because he lived close to Bischoff, but contrary to the statements of some, he worked his tail off more than many of the younger wrestlers and became one of the most over people in WCW. However, DDP in WWF/E was reduced to being a stalker. Yes, as in the illegal activity which can lead to substantial jail time. Who was the victim of DDP's egregious activities? Sarah, the wife of the Deadman himself, the Undertaker. Allow me to recite a few flaws in logic for this feud. 1. Who in their right mind would ever stalk any friend/relative/concubine of the Undertaker? 2. Why in the world would DDP stalk Undertaker's not so attractive wife when he was married to WCW valet Kimberly, who I am almost positive would beat Sarah 100% to 0% in a who would you rather be with poll (unless Taker got a vote)? Yea, I don't understand either. Ultimately it didn't matter because the WWF/E had no interest in making DDP competitive and he was jobbed out and pinned by the object of his desire. It's almost like the feud never existed, and given the booking, it might as well not have existed. Sad considering what could have been from these two.
