As revealed in his new documentary, this is the match that made Michaels set in motion his retirement from professional wrestling believing he would never be able to top this match in his career.
Taking place on the silver anniversary of Wrestlemania the two cornerstones of the WWE Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker were pitted against each other in their home state of Texas.
The pair had previously shown fantastic chemistry as they battled it out over a decade before in another classic; the first ever Hell in a Cell match. A short but so very sweet taster in the closing stretches of the 2007 Royal Rumble only served to further the expectations for their showdown. Even with the considerable hype however nobody could have predicted what happened next.
In an amazing showpiece the two veterans not only shattered all expectations but produced what many people consider the greatest match in Wrestlemania history.
