WWE: 5 Major Accomplishments Still Eluding CM Punk

4. Beat The Game

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZNJQyXKiqI Backstage politics or not, no superstar dominated the WWE landscape more consistently in the 2000s than Triple H. While he was already known as The Game, the 2000s saw Triple H become "the measuring stick." He was the standard by which all other WWE superstars were judged. Arguably, he still is. In truth, no one has filled the "measuring stick" role since Triple H stopped wrestling full-time. John Cena does not have enough credibility with adult male wrestling fans to take that spot and even if he did, CM Punk has already defeated him multiple times. Punk, however, has not beaten Triple H, but should and soon. Triple H is still very much the standard bearer in the eyes of fans and in defeat, he can pass that torch to Punk. When they battled at Night of Champions in September 2011, Triple H proved victorious. Sure, there was interference in the match, but a win is a win and a loss is a loss. At the time, an argument could have been made for Punk to go over, but none of that really matters now. After reaffirming his toughness in evenly matched wars with Brock Lesnar, a match with CM Punk would be a natural progression in Triple H's feud with Paul Heyman. Beating The Game in singles competition would allow Punk to avenge his previous loss and further assert himself as "The Best in the World" and the man to whom every other superstar is compared.
