WWE: 5 Reasons Fans Hate John Cena

3. Feuds

Perhaps the biggest mistake the WWE made last year was having CM Punk leave his feud with Cena for a vendetta with Kevin Nash. At that moment in time adults loved Punk for not being SuperCena and the kids loved Cena for being himself. It was a feud that everyone could enjoy, yet they ruined it. Unfortunately, this time round Punk has been made a heel, which leads us on to my next point. It seems that everyone has to be bent around Cena, which is no criticism of Cena as it is the WWE who make the creative decisions. For example, a Daniel Bryan fan, of which there are many, may be hugely frustrated by the WWE€™s choice to make the bearded wrestler lose to Cena on consecutive episodes of Raw. Why not have Cena lose? It wouldn€™t do any damage to his reputation and it would make Bryan look more impressive. Even last summer when Cena lost to Punk at Money in the Bank and Summerslam, he didn€™t lose cleanly. He was seconds away from making Punk tap to the STF when he released the hold to stop John Laurinaitis ringing the bell (another example of Cena€™s morals) and at Summerslam he had his foot on the ropes during the three-count. Would it have been a huge problem if he had lost cleanly? With the reputation that Cena has he has a wonderful opportunity to put over some of the younger talent without consequences.
