WWE: 5 Reasons Why William Regal Should Be Champion

1. He Fits The Role Perfectly

regal william Following the Cena/Regal feud, a decent, lengthy run on top as WWE champion could create some really interesting television. Regal can talk, he can entertain and he can wrestle, three absolute prerequisites for a WWE top spot (ideally). He may be nearing retirement age, but a run with the biggest belt in the world would reinvigorate him, I'm sure. In that time, WWE could develop some of its next generation talent (the ones who show a lot of promise but have, for the most part, been pushed too soon) and the overall WWE product would improve as a result. WWE have one of the world€™s top wrestling talents on their books and the last time I watched one of his matches...He was jobbing to Fandango. Now that's messed up. Regal would make an excellent main event choice, not only as foil for Cena, but also for CM Punk (who was trained by Regal). Regal has been wrestling for a long time now, but, if you ask me, he is the man to give WWE€™s top spot the shot in the arm that it evidently needs right now. Agree? Disagree? Think I€™ve gone stark raving barmy? Feel free to besmirch me in the comments section...Just stay the hell away from my teapot!

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
