WWE: 5 Replacements For Rey Mysterio

4. La Sombra

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MukW_TOpjrU La Sombra might not be a name known to many WWE fans. He hasn't had a big run in the USA yet, however he is incredibly well known in his native Mexico and more recently has started making a real name for himself in Japan. La Sombra is well decorated as well, picking up the Tag Team Championship and Universal Championship 2011 in CMLL and the Intercontinental Championship in NJPW. WWE have recently had their fingers burnt by a Mexican import with no American experience, Mistico (who was the first incarnation of Sin Cara) was not the success anyone hoped. Bringing in La Sombra might be considered a risk by some within the WWE. He should be considered a risk worth taking. He is taller than Rey, standing at 5'11, but arguably has a more varied high flying arsenal. He is capable of all manner of flips, twists and springboard attacks to excite the crowd. La Sombra is from a wrestling family, like Rey Mysterio, and started his career in Mexico, like Rey Mysterio. At 24 years old La Sombra has the majority of his career ahead of him, and if he was brought to America now he could be a long term replacement for Rey. He can wrestler the same sort of style as Rey, and perform at a similar pace to Rey. Both of these things would be vital if he was to try and step into his boots and replace him. Most Exciting Manoeuvre http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKa-x_69Isc La Sombra has a huge variety of planchas and top rope moves, but the one that would catch the imagination of the WWE would be his Feint Springboard Moonsault into a Standing Moonsault. It would need a catchy name, but it could definitely become a fan favourite.
