1. Kevin Nash Became Oz Became Vinnie Vegas Became Diesel Became Steel
Kevin Nash is the king of changing his name. Nash certainly didn't shy away from a crazy gimmick or two in his WCW days, he was originally packaged as Blade as part of a tag team called the Master Blasters but that soon died out. He was then Oz who squashed a couple of competitors until losing to Ron Simmons at the Great American Bash. Oz was an interesting gimmick who many people found cheesy or daft, however looking back for my research on this article I found it kooky and it had a lot of potential, the entrance music is just amazing...
Nash then reappeared as Vinnie Vegas in a gangster style gimmick. Shawn Michaels said that he had seen a Vinnie Vegas promo and suggested signing him up to Vince McMahon. Nash debuted in WWE as Diesel a bodyguard for Shawn Michaels, Diesel would soon find his own feet in the business and would be part of a legit backstage group called The Kliq. During his first stint in the WWE, Diesel won tag team glory twice, Intercontinental championship once and even claimed the WWE Championship once his reign lasted close to a year. Nash would leave WWE for WCW after a guaranteed contract for a lot of money was offered to him. He would for the first time use his real name Kevin Nash and alongside Scott Hall who also changed his name from Razor Ramon to Scott Hall would change the business. Nash and Hall would team up with Hulk Hogan to form one of the most successful factions of all time NWO, between the three of them they had massive influence in and out of ring, in kayfabe and legitimately. Nash would win seven tag team titles with multiple partners, he would also win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on four different occasions making him one of the elite group to win the WWE Title and the WCW title belt. Kevin Nash returned to the WWE in 2002 where he would feud with Stone Cold and Triple H as part of the NWO and individually. He has also had a good run in TNA winning Legend titles and claiming tag team glory with Scott Hall one last time.
