2. Wade Barrett
Wade Barrett should be the top heel in the company right now. The Nexus storyline should have established him in this position however he was quickly seen off, along with the rest of the Nexus members, by John Cena. The biggest mistake I feel with Barrett was not putting the WWE title on him during the Nexus invasion. This would've cemented him as a top star, but they were too afraid to take the chance and now WWE and Barrett himself are suffering the consequences, as they lack a legitimate top heel with presence. The largest hurdle in front of Wade is the fact that he is English, and we know how xenophobic Vince McMahon is. People may argue that Sheamus is becoming the face of the company but I strongly disagree, a non-American will NEVER be the face of Vince's company, they shall always remain at number 2. In WWE, heels are always second to babyfaces anyway, so Wade Barrett being number 2 in the company would only come naturally. He has the mic skills locked down, the ring skills are also present and he has the intimidation factor which heels these days sorely miss. After his program with Kofi Kingston, Wade should challenge a World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus.
