WWE: 5 Superstars Whose Last Match Was At WrestleMania
5. André The Giant
The late, great André The Giant actually bowed out of in-ring action quietly, but his last match (in the WWE) was actually at WrestleMania VI - where he teamed up with Haku (The Colossal Connection) to lose to Demolition for the WWF Tag Team titles, a match that André didn't actually tag in to. This was due to ongoing medical problems. He was a heel at the time, but turned on his partner, Haku, and manager Bobby Heenan post match to a rousing ovation to turn babyface. He continued in the Federation for a year-and-a-half, during which - although they did tease an in-ring return at times - he acted in a manager type role., appearing in the corner of other babyface wrestlers or tag teams. André is of course a WrestleMania, and WWE, legend; A Hall of Famer who was involved in perhaps the most iconic moment in WrestleMania history, when he was bodyslammed by Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania III. It's no surprise that they continued to use him in a non-competing role because he was still a special attraction. Had he gone out in more fanfare, then he might well have been higher up in this list.
