WWE: 5 Tag Teams And Factions That Broke Up Too Soon
Timing is one of the most important aspects in all storytelling, and that certainly applies to the stories that the WWE tells. Revealing something too early can be disastrous and pushing back a development in your story can be catastrophic in terms of creating a connection between your narrative and the viewer. The WWE is in many ways a company that is in constant pursuit of the ever elusive, nearly impossible to achieve perfect timing. How long is too long and how soon is too soon? With it looking like The Shield have been granted a stay of execution and will remain intact through WrestleMania, I'd have to go out on a limb and say that in this particular instance, the WWE is as close to perfect as they could hope to be in timing the eventual break-up of The Shield. It has been great to see the group on the same page the last few weeks and it has only served to remind is all how all-time great the trio has been during their run. It's also been very interesting to watch them basically work as heroes rather than villains. The Shield had more to give the business as a faction and the WWE is milking them for all they're worth, which I'm sure we all appreciate. Inspired by the decision to extend The Shield's run through Wrestlemania XXX, I've decided to take a trip down memory lane and look at 5 pairings whose partnerships I would have liked to see extended, because they had more to accomplish and more to give at the time of their separation. If you have more teams/factions you'd like to add, feel free to do so in the comment section below too. Enough dillydallying, let's Rock n' Roll!
