Although never looking like he possessed the main event potential of his brother Jeff - Matt Hardy always was and remains an incredibly popular wrestler. Which is why it raised eyebrows when he was released from the WWE in 2005; and as is often the case, where there's smoky raised eyebrows there's fire. Hardy turned a negative into a positive (for him) when he took to the internet to inform his legions of fans the deets behind the sitch. Lita, who had been dating Hardy for several years and was the third component in the incredibly lame named Team Xtreme, was cheating on him with Edge. He had been fired to settle the backstage tension, being as he was the least promising of the three talents. Instantly Lita was a heel. Any TV appearance of hers was drowned out by chants of, "She's a crack whore" and "We want Matt!" And although this would result with her being teamed up with über heel Edge and the most prominent run of her WWE stay, Lita remembers it as a very difficult period for her.
