WWE: 6 Misconceptions Your Parents Still Have About Wrestling

May my mother forgive me...

John Cena Hd There are many of us of all ages throughout the world that love professional wrestling, especially the WWE. On a personal note I myself have been watching for three decades now and although there was a little hiatus in the 90's due to non-existent coverage on Australian television, have pretty much remained loyal through the good times and the bad. Not that my mother was at all impressed with my love for the business. Like a lot of us whom have elders who hate the WWE and hate it with a passion. Many parents just can't understand the fascination we all have when it comes to sports entertainment, especially when you are an adult viewer and will denigrate it until the cows come home. And recently as my parental unit voiced her displeasure yet again at what was going on during an episode of Monday Night RAW with the same old arguments we have all been hearing since we were kids, it suddenly hit me. Most people who don't understand the concept of professional wrestling, especially the parents of wrestling fans now in their mid 20's and beyond, all re-iterate the same tired old cliche arguments we have all come to know and hate. Thing is, most of these arguments are now not only invalid due to the evolution of professional wrestling but completely wrong. These parents are still stuck in a kind of 80s-90's mentality when it comes to the WWE. So with that in mind I have decided to list a few of the misconceptions your parents still have about wrestling and how they can debunked in full. May my mother forgive me.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
