WWE: 7 Greatest Innovations To The Wrestling Business

1. WrestleMania

the rock Every wrestling fan knows that WrestleMania is the biggest and most important wrestling show anywhere in the world. Nothing comes close to it in terms of importance. What's so special about it is that even non-wrestling fans know it takes place every year too. It's the most well known aspect of WWE. Think about a family member that knows nothing about wrestling. Ask them if they know what WrestleMania is. I bet they do. That's why it's WWE's greatest innovation because the world knows all about it. When anybody thinks of WWE they will immediately think of WrestleMania because that's the name that has become synonymous with WWE The NFL has the Super Bowl every year and WWE has WrestleMania every year. Major events like the Summer & Winter Olympics and World Cup don't happen every year. WrestleMania does. It's the signature WWE event that is likely going to reach 40, 50, 60 and even 100 years because as long as WWE exists so will WrestleMania. Is WrestleMania always the best show? No it's not. It should be considering how many people are watching and how much it cost to watch (pre-WWE Network days anyway), but sometimes WWE doesn't create the kind of memorable show we watch. The thing is, even if the year before wasn't that great we'll always think about next year. The wrestling business is about evolving. It's about what's next. This year's WrestleMania takes place in less than three months in New Orleans. We already know that next year's WrestleMania will be in Santa Clara, Californina. Why? Because many cities wanted to host it because they know how special it is. People will plan their one vacation around it. I know because I've done it in 2012 and I'll do it this year too. When people think of WWE they think of WrestleMania and that's why it is WWE greatest innovation.
