After twenty years of both being under contract with WWE, Mr WrestleMania and the Deadman met in what would be the first of two matches at WWE€™s premiere event. Having defeated Vladimir Koslov in a match in the March of 2009, Michaels earned the right to challenge Taker€™s streak at WrestleMania XXV. The pair feuded in the build up to WrestleMania and on the night in question, Shawn descended from the ceiling bathed in white and accompanied by a haunting church-like symphony. Almost Godlike, Shawn Michaels arrived at WrestleMania XXV in a heavenly and divine fashion. The entrance was exactly the opposite tone to The Undertaker€™s; a clash with the Deadman€™s dark side origins. You know how this one went. The Undertaker captured his first ever victory over Shawn Michaels in singles competition and went 17-0 at WrestleMania.
