WWE: 7 Most Interesting Statistics From 2013

5. 80,676 People In Attendance At Wrestlemania 29

Wrestlemania 29 Though Wrestlemania 29 could arguably be considered disappointing in terms of match quality, the attendance for the event was anything but. Nearly 81,000 WWE fans from all around the world convened at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (sorry, "New York / New Jersey") to witness "The Show of Shows". The Crowd that gathered to see Cena / Rock II will go down in history as one of the biggest WWE Crowds of all time. In fact, it was the second largest WWE attendance of all time, trailing just Wrestlemania III, where 93,173 fans gathered at the Pontiac Silverdome to see Hulk Hogan battle Andre The Giant. In a very impressive showing, Wrestlemania 29 outdrew Wembley Stadium's Summerslam '92 (which had 80,355 fans in attendance), and Ford Field's Wrestlemania 23 (where 80,103 attended). It is unlike that Wrestlemania XXX will top Wrestlemania 29 in terms of attendance, as the New Orleans Superdome can apparently hold around 72,000 fans for non-football events. The following year, however, Wrestlemania will be at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and perhaps then the WWE will be able to top its Wrestlemania 29 crowd.
