4. John Cena Main Events
There is a sizeable contingent of WWE fans who absolutely despise John Cena. They feel he is overexposed, repetitive, and shoved down the throats of wrestling fans. Yet it is hard to argue that John Cena hogged the main event spotlight in 2013, however, when the 14 time World Champion only wrestled in the closing match of a pay per view four times. Cena's main event bouts were contested against The Rock at Wrestlemania 29, Ryback at Extreme Rules and Payback, and Daniel Bryan at Summerslam (we'll ignore the impromptu, minute-long Money in the Bank cash-in). This is less than half of the nine pay per view events that Cena wrestled in 2012, and the 11 main events he was a part of in 2011. So, Cena may be the target of a lot of internet fans' vitriol, but criticism towards him hogging the main event may be unwarranted.
