WWE: 7 Reasons Why It's Smart To Wait On The Shield's Breakup

3. It Can Be A Big Story In The Slow Post-Mania Season

The Shield Once WrestleMania is over, then what happens? Daniel Bryan will likely be the World Champion that probably defends against Batista. John Cena will probably keep feuding with Bray Wyatt to some degree unless they want to go back to Wyatts vs. Shield. The part-time workers like Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Triple H probably won't be wrestling. Lesnar has worked at Extreme Rules the last two years, but since he wrestled at the Royal Rumble this year perhaps they won't use him again until SummerSlam time. The point is, there will likely be rematches and with those rematches they also need to create some new stories. That's when the cracks in The Shield can start to grow a bit more. Maybe they can have their first triple threat match at Extreme Rules, but it doesn't have to be a case of them hating each other yet. Maybe they just want to see who the best man is. A strong story following WrestleMania leading into something between them at SummerSlam could be really good as long as they have the patience to tell the story the right way.
