7. He Was Originally Booked To Turn Heel On The Shield
When The Shield was originally formed, it was Ambrose that WWE planned big things for. When they held titles together, he was the US Champion while Rollins and Reigns were the Tag Team Champions. That shows that WWE wanted him to stand out more on his own. Last year when Rollins was heel, it was revealed in a WWE Magazine that the plan was actually for Ambrose to do the turn. In answering a fan question in the magazine, Ambrose referred to Rollins and Reigns as his "former partners" while commenting that they could always make each other laugh. Why would he refer to them as that? Because it was Ambrose that was set to do the big turn until WWE changed their mind and had Rollins do it. The reason WWE went with the Rollins turn is because they thought he would be a better fit with The Authority, which he is. However, they also must feel strongly about an Ambrose turn since they mentioned it in a magazine over a year ago because they know he can be very good in that role.
