WWE: 7 Wrestlers Who Could Make Evolution Better

3. Dean Ambrose

It feels that the long-term goal of The Shield is to turn Roman Reigns into the company's next mega babyface. Out of anyone on the roster, he seems like he may one day be the true successor to John Cena's throne. No offense meant to Daniel Bryan, but it's Reigns who has the look that management wants in their top guy. WWE has wisely been making this move slowly, as most fans don't react well to having someone suddenly shoved down their throat (like Ryback). Even if Reigns becomes the superstar that the company is hoping for, they should absolutely not forget about the immense talents of Seth Rollins, and specifically Dean Ambrose. Ambrose has already established himself as a compelling act, with an extreme amount of confidence on the mic. Top stars from Mick Foley to CM Punk have sung his praise, and believe he's going to be a big part of wrestling's future. At 28-years-old, he's got years to live up to his potential and evolve into a main-event player. Having him turn on Reigns and join up with Evolution would be a bold move for his career. But it may just be the right one. He is a natural heel anyway, so having him be the one to implode The Shield seems like a logical move. Ambrose turning on his running buddies to join Evolution would also add some extra juice to their feud with The Shield. It would also make Hunter's aging stable more hip. A lot of WWE fans weren't around when Evolution was the biggest part of Raw, and could use a newer member to connect with younger fans. There's no reason to think that Ambrose won't be around for years to come, so WWE should make sure that whatever he does after The Shield is big.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
