WWE: 10 Biggest Victims Of Burial

2. Randy Savage

Macho Man Randy Savage was one of the biggest stars in WWE in the '80s. He would have fantastic feuds with Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts, Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat, hold the Intercontinental Title and the WWE Title twice, and was the third King Of The Ring. His match against Steamboat at Wrestlemania 3 is still regarded as one of the best ever, and WWE fans fondly recall him standing in the ring after victories, pointing to the sky with his lovely valet Miss Elizabeth perched on his shoulder. He is one of the greatest of all time. So why is he in this graveyard of burials? WWE has never denied Savage's accomplishments or legacy. However, they refuse to honour it. Despite all his achievements, Randy Savage has not been inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, in what many regard as a blatant miscarriage of justice. Admittedly, this controversy has had it's reasons in the past, as Randy wished to be inducted alongside his brother Lanny Poffo and father Angelo Poffo, rather than as an individual. In September of last year, Lanny announced that he officially gave WWE his consent to induct Savage posthumously as an individual, on the condition that they don't invite him to the ceremony or pay him, saying "I don't need their thirty pieces of silver to defy my brother's wishes". Despite this, there is still no induction in sight for Randy. So why is this? Vince and Savage parted on good terms when he left for WCW, with McMahon wishing him luck. But this cordial relationship would sour later on, and despite many other former stars of WWE eventually returning, Savage was never welcomed back in McMahon's company. The reasons for this have never been made clear, but Chinese whispers have said that in 1993, Savage had a relationship with a 17 year old Stephanie McMahon. This has never been conclusively confirmed one way or the other, but if it were true, it would explain his absence in the HOF.
