3. Mercedes-Benz Superdome (New Orleans, Louisiana)
Why it might: The current favourite. If you want to look at potential WrestleMania venues, look no further than hosts of the Superbowl - the previous four WrestleMania holders (Sun Life Stadium, Reliant Stadium, Georgia Dome & University of Phoenix Stadium) have all held the Superbowl finals. None is perhaps more illustrious than the Superdome, having hosted the NFL final no less than 7 times, including this upcoming February's championship game - more than any other stadium in history. The Big Easy's tax incentive means the WWE have used the city to film many of their movies (think Knucklehead and 12 Rounds) and would be an astute financial move. WWE visit New Orleans in February for the Elimination Chamber PPV in what would be a perfect time to announce the arrival of WrestleMania.
Why it might not: It's not exactly the glamorous location you'd expect such a milestone nor does it have the old school pro wrestling pedigree of an Atlanta or Philadelphia (the home of WCW and ECW respectively). The last few years of Mania have been very south-coast heavy in Florida, Texas and Arizona. In fact, the previous 5 have all been in southern USA, meaning a return to the deep-south may be some time away.
