WWE: 8 Matches To Make The Perfect UK PPV

4. John Cena vs. Finn Bálor (U.S. Title Match)

Unlike Daniel Bryan, John Cena looks like he's set for a long reign as U.S. Champion, particularly if he is to exhaust the roster with this open challenge concept they're running each week on Raw. Picture the scene: Cena shows up on the UK PPV with his advertised open challenge and the man who accepts it is the debuting Bálor, an Irishman who would suffer no such kind of hostile reaction from that crowd. Bálor is a guy WWE is very high on, with a unique look, gimmick and a fantastic entrance who has shipped some serious shirt sales in NXT. Many are speculating he'll bypass the NXT Title scene entirely now he's lost to Kevin Owens and proceed straight to the main roster. If that is true, debuting him in the UK against Cena in a victory for the U.S. Title with that crowd reaction would put him over huge from the very beginning.

Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
