It was the perfect move for a guy like Austin €“ blunt, forceful and full of attitude. It's a move that's guaranteed to get the crowd on their feet, especially when combined with Austin's trademark one finger salute. It's unclear exactly how a Stunner is really supposed to hurt though; often times a Stunner would bring the opponent to their knees before they flopped backwards dramatically. Of course, you can argue whether any wrestling move really hurts but the various flips and dives performed by those hit by a Stunner tells its own story; nobody really knows which part of the body a Stunner injures. Still, it's one of the greatest finishers in wrestling history, especially when delivered by the legendary Texas Rattlesnake.
