WWE: 8 Ways To Book Brock Lesnar To Maximise Breaking The Streak

8. Lesnar "Retires"

"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer." Misquotes aside, this line perfectly represents Lesnar's current position in WWE. Lesnar has reached the highest peak of the mountain, and now sits on top of it with few contenders to even be considered much of a challenge. Without any challenges, Lesnar will be bored and, over time, he'll realize that he has nothing more to prove in WWE. Sure, he could go after the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (more on that later,) but that would be just another title to add to his growing collection. He already knows what it's like to be an undisputed champion, and from his perspective becoming champion again would pale in comparison to breaking the streak. What good is winning a championship when there's nobody worth of defending it against? With nothing else he can do, perhaps Lesnar (or Heyman representing Lesnar) will officially announce that he is retiring from professional wrestling and moving on to newer challenges. Now the idea behind Lesnar making a retirement announce would be to serve as a catalyst for Lesnar's next step which may included one or more of the next few entries. Obviously retirement would be a big waste for Lesnar's win. Lesnar is still fairly young and has many more years in him before he needs to retire. But the idea of retiring because he's simply too good for WWE can be a great way for someone else to come down to the ring and give Lesnar a good reason to stick around. That would give some of the fresh faces, as well as one or two well established superstars, a chance to defeat the man who ended the streak. The hunter now becomes the hunted.
