With the Wrestlemania 13 card in complete disarray Vince McMahon & Co were forced to make major changes. After several false starts in the end the company turned to its ever reliable linchpin €“ The Undertaker.

By this point despite not even seven years into his WWE career, the €˜Phenom€™ had already established himself as the locker room leader the one person the company could turn to who would dig them out of the trenches whilst others around him faltered.

At every arena worldwide and with €˜Stone Cold€™ Steve Austin still a few months removed from becoming the biggest star in the industry, the Undertaker was the only main event superstar they had at the time that was getting unanimous positive reactions.

In the build up to Wrestlemania 13 many scenarios had been thrown around for the main event of the biggest event of the year. Shawn Michaels vs Bret €˜Hitman€™ Hart was scuppered when the €˜Showstopper€™ lost his smile only to find it 4 months later. A slight injury along with a seeming reluctance to fully commit to Steve Austin hindered a rumored WWE championship match between the Rattlesnake and Hart.

Therefore just 5(!) days before Wrestlemania the €˜Deadman€™ found himself thrown into the main event spot of the WWE€™s showcase event.

Daniel Bryan finds himself in a similar picture thrown in to a makeshift main event on the WWE€™s biggest event of the year.

When Triple H cost Daniel Bryan the WWE championship and formed the 'Authority' at Summerslam. It looked for the world to see that Bryan was set to feature in WWE€™s headline feud the culmination of which would end in him getting his revenge and reclaiming the title in the main event of Wrestlemania 30.

Clearly not on the same page as the entire WWE Universe, the creative team in their infinite wisdom decided Bryan was more of an afterthought. With a summer blockbuster movie to promote Batista strolled back into the WWE skinny jeans and all and was immediately thrown into the main event picture of Wrestlemania against fellow Evolution alumni Randy Orton.

At one stage Bryan was scheduled to take on Sheamus for a 3rd time at Wrestlemania in a match that would have been forgotten as soon as it had ended.

The WWE Universe was having none of it and revolted against everything that did not directly involve the leader of the Yes movement. Caught in the crossfire even constant fan favourites such as Rey Mysterio have been booed out of arenas.

With Yes chants ringing out across arenas worldwide and the walkout of CM Punk seemingly the final straw, the brains behind the operation have finally come to their senses and thrown Daniel Bryan into the position he should have been in all along.
