4. Evan Bourne
The unfortunate combination of a wellness policy violation and a foot injury as a result of a car accident has led to an extended leave of absence for Evan Bourne. It's nearly two years since Bourne wrestled a match for television, and being away for such a long time is far from good news about how vital to the product Bourne is perceived to be. Furthermore, the major appeal of Evan Bourne was always his impressive Shooting Star Press finisher, 'Air Bourne'. From Jushin Liger to Brock Lesnar, the Shooting Star Press is a move that always gets a reaction - and with very good reason. People loved to see Bourne hit 'Air Bourne', but things have changed in his absence. NXT Rookie Adrian Neville, who wrestled on the independent scene as PAC has been wowing audiences with his corkscrew variant of the Shooting Star Press, the Red Arrow. Unfortunately for Bourne, Neville offers the same sort of high-flying action, the same independent cred and something that Bourne never did have - a Geordie accent. Who knows whether the latter will do him any good, but the other two points suggest that Evan Bourne's time in the WWE is running short.
