WWE: 8 Wrestlers Who Will Never Get Into The Hall Of Fame

7. Lex Luger

From being brought in as an egotistical heel with a cape, to his transformation into a flag waving US patriot, his initial WWE tenure was patterned after Hogan down to a T. But the fans didn€™t ever take to Luger in the way that was intended, and when WrestleMania X was over and done with, his stock fell fast, as he went from a world title contender to a mid card tag team wrestler. However, Luger€™s real downfall in the eyes of Vince McMahon came on 4th September 1995, when WCW Monday Nitro launched and kicked off the Monday Night Wars. Just eight days after appearing at SummerSlam, the WWE€™s no 2 pay-per-view of the year, and one night after a WWE house show, Luger strolled down the aisle, totally unannounced, during the main event of the first ever Nitro, immediately putting himself into the world title picture in WCW. Luger€™s appearance caused huge embarrassment to McMahon, as he was totally unaware that Luger was going to be anywhere other than that night€™s Raw taping, and the first shot in the Monday Night Wars had been fired towards the WWE. When McMahon purchased WCW in 2001 and imported several of its stars, Luger was a notable exclusion. His only hope is if his inclusion in the Hall of Fame is a way of persuading his long-time best friend and business partner Sting to join the WWE, either as a competitor or a member of the Hall.
