WWE: 9 Most Frustrating Aspects Of The WWE Network

9. The Free Trial

Wwe Network WWE has promoted that there will be a free trial for those still on the fence with purchasing the Network. It's clearly a commendable act and nothing to really complain about, but the way the free trial is being offered is quite honestly pretty scummy. Essentially, there is no free trial in the traditional sense. Instead, you have to enter all of your billing information upfront to even access the free trial, and you may even be temporarily charged depending on varying factors (your bank, credit card company, etc). If you do decide to cancel before the free trial is up you will be refunded, but that's not really where the issue comes from. Hypothetically, let's say that someone isn't really enjoying the service and decides that they want to cancel, but for whatever reason they just never get around to doing it. Sure, it is technically at the fault of the user, but some people do lead busy lives and may not have that chance. And if they don't have that chance, by Monday €“ it ends then regardless of when you take advantage - they are locked in against their will for the six-month commitment. This will undoubtedly happen to some people, and feels like a situation that WWE may be relying on to reel in some easy subscriptions. There's really no reason not to just offer a free seven day trial with no billing information, automatic renewal, or shady wording.
