WWE: Are These 9 New Reality TV Shows Coming To The WWE Network?

1. NXT: Behind The Scenes

Here it is, the crème de la crème of original WWE Network programming. A reality series that would follow NXT talents as they develop their skills and try to make it from the Performance Center to the main roster. The pitch says they will be looking at their work, their personal lives and the "fraternity of the NXT brand." To complete the Tough Enough feel of the show, it's also said to include "the heartbreak of being cut." WWE Network's NXT show has received rave reviews since the launch of the Network. WWE has also found recent mainstream success with filming their talents' personal, "off-air" struggles with E!'s Total Divas. Merge the two and you have a show that will undoubtedly draw in hardcore wrestling fans and casual fans alike. NXT:Behind the Scenes would be a perfect companion to the current NXT WWE Network series and unlike many of these other reality show ideas, can be directly used to further storyline, angles, and gimmicks. While some would likely worry about shining too much light on performers who are supposed to be in the midst of "developing" their skills and personas, it would also be the perfect way to aid in those very processes. In any character-driven story, it always helps to humanize the characters you want to elicit emotion from the audience. What better way to follow this young talent as they struggle to improve on NXT: Behind the Scenes and then soak in the fruits of their labor as you see the person perform on NXT right after? With the Performance Center and the production facilities of Full Sail all already at their disposal, NXT: Behind the Scenes even logistically makes sense.
