The Mexican National Heavyweight Champion when he passed aged 43 on May 26th, Hector Garza was an athletic worker who featured in CMLL, New Japan, TNA, WCW and the WWF. Garza sadly succumbed to lung cancer, after unsuccessful chemotherapy on the disease's discovery back in 2012. He is perhaps best known in North America for his work within TNA where he starred in the X division and in matches against Jeff Jarrett. Unfortunately his TNA push was stopped when he was busted for steroids by Texas police - it led to him being deported and ended his career in the USA. Garza had enjoyed earlier exposure in the US when wrestling for the WWF as part of a talent share with Mexico's AAA. He even featured on a main match at the 1997 Royal Rumble. A small run with WCW was next in the Latino World Order - he was never significantly pushed but did get a victory over Scott Hall. His main body of work and fame was in his native Mexico, and he is fondly remembered by his legions of Mexican fans.
