WWE Adds Two Matches To Fastlane 2023 Lineup
Fans wondered when WWE would start adding matches to Fastlane. SmackDown did!
WWE added no less than two new matches to the Fastlane 2023 lineup on Friday's episode of SmackDown, and one of them is a title three-way.
IYO SKY defends her WWE Women's Title against both Asuka and Charlotte Flair in that one - Flair initially toppled IYO's Damage CTRL buddy Bayley one-on-one to earn a crack, but then ex-champ Asuka tossed her name in the hat for a shot too.
This will either be a promising show of faith in SKY, or management will revert to type and stick the belt on Charlotte just because they can. Watch this space.
Elsewhere, LA Knight was finally confirmed as John Cena's tag-team partner vs. Bloodline duo Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. AJ Styles was in the mix too, but that was only down to Knight's COVID issue last week. WWE booked a hasty hospitalisation for the 'Phenomenal' one anyway, and then put a bow on that by having his pal Karl Anderson get chippy with The Bloodline on Friday.
Tagging with Cena is a big spot for LA, and is surely the next step on his road to main event stardom.
