WWE And AAA Possibly Working Together To Share Alberto Del Rio

AAA Vice President comments on new WWE US Champion.

AAA Vice President Dorian Roldan Pena has commented on Alberto Del Rio winning WWE's United States Championship. €œAnd now @ VivaDelRio is champion @ WWE and @ luchalibreaaa . More news soon!€ he stated on Twitter. Del Rio is still AAA's Mega Champion. The response of the vice president sounds fairly positive, which has resulted in speculation that Del Rio will be continuing to work with AAA in addition to his WWE dates. It could be along the same lines of WWE's new relationship with EVOLVE. If an understanding wasn't in place between WWE and AAA, the reaction of the vice president would have surely been more angry. It looks more likely that the two groups will share him. Dave Meltzer has already commented that the WWE deal is for limited dates. So that certainly leaves time available for Del Rio to still fulfil bookings with AAA. It as an interesting situation, one that demonstrates how WWE are thinking more pragmatically when working with talent. Del Rio had the advantage of having some star factor and being a very good wrestler, which would have meant he had some degree of leverage in negotiations with WWE. The company has been desperate for a Hispanic star to appeal to that key demographic.
