WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (April 17)

3. Leader Of The Knockouts

Billy Corgan shows up in backstage segments increasingly these days. Before he started with the company he talked about wanting to get the wrestlers over, and not himself, because he€™s €œalready over.€ However, it looks like he€™s getting addicted to the drug of appearing on TV, in the same way as every other authority figure of the past 20 years has. Him being on-air is not a terrible idea, as the man is famous, but he keeps concerning himself in mid-card nonsense.

This week he interrupted a Knockouts segment and announced that next week there will be a match to decide who is the leader of the Knockouts division. What? Why does a division need a defined leader? What does that even mean? Who is the leader of the men€™s division? And if there is a leader, shouldn€™t there be some sort of vote?

At WrestleMania, WWE gave three really talented women the time to put on a great match and look like true competitors. In TNA, they€™re fighting over a dumb made-up title.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
