WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (April 26)
7. So That Match...Yes? Or No?
As of April 25, one day before Extreme Rules WWE had Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett listed on their website. Bryan has an injury of some sort, and the company wont officially say whether hes going to defend the title or not. The match wasnt even mentioned a single time on SmackDown. How does no one in that company not know? Do you think WWE would be so silent if it was John Cena who had an injury? WWE.com kept Barrett vs. Bryan on their predictions column where four out of five employees surveyed said they think Barrett will win. Do these people actually watch Raw or SmackDown? Barrett couldnt handle Zack Ryder these days! Trying to be a sport type analyst in WWE is always a strange gig. You basically have to pretend that anything youve ever seen didnt happen, and must try to cover up for the company's bad booking to convince fans that a loser has a chance of winning. Well, even if WWE isnt to blame and has to wait until the last minute to see if Bryan is cleared, its still an incredibly unfortunate situation. He was expected to breathe some new life into the Intercontinental division. If he has to forfeit the gold, we may be doomed to 10 more years of the champion losing non-title matches...until John Cena wins it in 2025.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
