When a new act is showing no signs of getting over, one of the worst things you can do is put them in a 13 minute match for the sole purpose of killing time. Thats just asking for trouble. The New Day is doomed. During their match on Raw, the CM Punk chant was the loudest it had been in months. Meanwhile, Kofi could do nothing but talk about positivity while having to pretend that he couldnt hear the hostile reaction from the crowd. To top it off, the crowd started chanting for NXT. Ouch. I remember when fans would chant for ECW at WWF shows, but that was at least a different company. Now the audience is begging for the minor leagues instead of the main product. I don't recall fans chanting for "Power Plant, Power Plant!" back in WCW. You have to feel bad for the talent involved, but its also kind of gratifying watching the fans reject something so clearly awful. Will McMahon get the message? Nah, why would he actually start listening now? If this is really a new day, then Id rather go back to bed.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
