A lot of stupid things have been said on WWE TV this year. Vince McMahon insulting the millenials is high on the list, as was HHH talking about how much better The Attitude Era was than this current one. Pretty much anytime John Cena tries to be funny (like him singing a song from Frozen this week) is a strong contender. But on this past episode of Raw, The Big Show snuck in and took the cake at the end of the year:
Roman Reigns, I got your Christmas present. Its not a stocking stuffer. Its a face stuffer!
When I heard Show say this, I had to rewind it. Surely a grown man wouldnt say something so stupid sounding right? Couldnt he have just said no when the script was presented to him? Did Vince McMahon force him to say it, and if he didnt hed take away his mini-mall? Imagine youre a 7-foot-tall man who is getting ready to face a smaller, but more athletic man in hand-to-hand combat. Would threatening to give him a face stuffer be high on your list of things to say to intimidate him? He should have left that line on the elementary school playground where it belongs.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
