WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 21)
6. New Tag Champs
The talented, entertaining stable of The New Day lost their tag titles to the less talented, less entertaining Prime Time Players at Money in the Bank. It was a curious decision, as there was no momentum on the side of the Players and New Day has improved tremendously since turning heel. Sure, Titus ONeil and Darren Young have got a little better in the ring, but their biggest accomplishment over the past few months had been starring in a series of really, really bad skits. Out of nowhere, the duo were given the belts likely because management felt some title should change hands at Money in the Bank. With the NXT and US Titles not on the line, something had to give. The Divas division desperately needs a new champion, and no one would shed any tears if Ryback lost his belt, but they went with The New Day. Hopefully this leads to either New Day getting the straps back or Harper and Rowan finally gaining gold. Because if this means any more of those wacky skits with ONeil and Young mocking other tag teams then the company has no one to blame if they scare off more fans and lose millions of dollars, millions of dollars!
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
