WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 5)
7. The New Day Dilemma
New Day is overall an entertaining stable, but someone really needs to tell them when to take an angle seriously. AJ Styles turned heel on Monday, and officially aligned himself with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. They delivered a great beatdown on John Cena, and the angle needed a hot follow-up to keep the momentum going. They didnt get that.
On SmackDown, New Day just skipped their way to the ring like usual. When they were confronted by The Club, they continued with their mugging humor, which was out of place in that situation. If they dont care that they were attacked, and that their titles are threatened, then why should we care?
The whole thing was bad, as The Club just sat there as New Day again did their hip thrusting antics and played the trombone. Think of how over the NWO would have been had, in their infancy, just stood there as Disco Inferno and Alex Wright mocked them.
