WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 29)

7. Seriously, Sheamus?

WWE, I€™m still waiting for the punchline. Sheamus won the Heavyweight Title, and I don€™t find it very funny. Not one bit! You just can€™t go from having him be the punchline in a joke during a New Day segment at Survivor Series, to having him leave the show with the biggest prize in the company. For starters, he€™s not over. Second of all, he€™s Sheamus, so no one cares. But if WWE had to go with him, why hasn't he been protected ever since he won the Money in the Bank contract? I mean, for starters, the guy won the briefcase on June 14, and he lost to Dean Ambrose on June 15. More recently, Cesaro beat him in the Heavyweight Title tournament, and Kalisto and Sin Cara beat him and Barrett the week before that. In fact, Sheamus hasn€™t won a singles match on TV since October 5, against Neville. The man had zero momentum behind him. If the idea was to go with a heel as champ, Kevin Owens would have been a much better choice in virtually every category. Sheamus winning was shocking, but not in the good way that draws money. For example, Hornswoggle could€™ve walked out of Survivor Series as champ and that would€™ve been shocking too. Neither one would be good, though. Actually, Horny would have been a little more interesting.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
