WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Oct 15)
5. Harper Ends The Show
You don’t end a pay-per-view main event with the re-appearance of Luke Harper, even with a new coat. I'm sorry. It's just not a thing you can do.
That’s not a knock on Harper’s talent, as I think he’s vastly underutilized, but it’s a statement on how he’s been perceived. Harper has meant almost nothing to WWE over the past couple years. Ever since he lost the Intercontinental Title to Dolph Ziggler, he’s been a glorified jobber. So having him as a surprise appearance to end a show is about as effective as two out the four Spirit Squad dudes showing up in the main event.
Last we saw Harper on TV, he was being tossed around by Brock Lesnar like a ragdoll at Roadblock. Now we’re doing another version of The Wyatt Family, but with less members than ever. Does creative honestly think that’s going to work this go-around? I was hoping he’d show up on Raw, and have nothing to do with Braun Strowman. They wouldn't even have a friendly "hello" backstage or an awkward chat of "Hey, remember that time we used to live together in that hillbilly compound?"
Add in the silliness of Kane disappearing into thin air, and Bray teleporting out of a box last week, and this newest version of the group is already the worst. WWE screwed up something incredibly promising, but just let it go. We'll all be better off for it.
