WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Oct 23)

6. Brooke Beats Bayley

DANA BROOKE BAYLEY

You could probably make a good case for Dana Brooke being shipped back to NXT. If you're supposed to put your feet on the ropes to pin your opponent, but miss by a couple feet then it's probably time to go back to developmental and learn about the dimensions of a wrestling ring.

It’s just a strange world we live in where Asuka must risk her well-being in a developmental system, sometimes competing in front of only a couple of hundred fans, while Dana Brooke gets a promotion to be seen by millions of fans every week.

The story of Bayley is just beginning, but her push on the main roster has been quite terrible. It’s like a book on "How to Push Someone Logically, And Not Like An Idiot" has been torn apart, and then glued back together with the pages all in the wrong order.

There is just no good reason for Bayley to do the job to an opponent who isn’t even half as talented as her. Even if there’s supposed to be a cheap finish (which Brooke clearly f**ked up), because no one wants to see them fight again. Dana has been treated as so pathetic that she (along with half the roster) can't be taken seriously. We've already seen Bayley beat her in a variety of matches and in backstage segments anyway, so the entire thing just feels so irritatingly pointless.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
