Being honest, if anybody had claimed that Heath Slater and Rhyno would be in position to be SmackDown's first ever Tag-Team Champions at the turn of 2016, they would have been laughed out of the room. Even guessing that the pair would form a tandem would have been a stretch, but Slater and Rhyno are the latest tag sensation on the blue brand.

There's natural chemistry there, both men know their respective roles and execute them perfectly each time they appear. At Backlash, they will face The Usos or The Hype Bros for the right to become new champs. In either match, Slater and Rhyno will be considered rank outsiders by WWE.

Whether against the heel team or their fellow babyfaces, Slater and Rhyno should be booked to surprise everyone and leave with the titles. This would create a nice and heartfelt moment for the first SmackDown pay-per-view, the kind of thing that can be referenced as organic elation from the live audience.

Many would like to see it, but few could claim to have predicted it. Heath Slater and Rhyno, what a random combination.
