WWE Backlash 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen

8. Randy Orton Looks Despondent As He Leaves

Following such a painful defeat, Randy Orton would simply have to sell the loss as though it was a hammer blow to his career. Coming back all guns blazing at SummerSlam, the 'Viper' was beaten down by a dangerous Brock Lesnar. Left in a pool of his own blood, he felt that taking Bray Wyatt down a peg or two would restore his confidence.

That vindication failed to transpire, and now Randy is left without a clear path. Such a story is certainly more interesting than merely having him run over the top of Wyatt like Bray is mid card fodder. If a huge star like Randy Orton begins questioning his future, there's an enjoyable tale all ready to go over the next few months.

Orton could even deem the Royal Rumble his end goal, looking to win such a match and recapture the magic of his career. Meanwhile, Bray Wyatt can point to his victory as the moment he crushed a future WWE Hall Of Famer. That's credibility, instant satisfaction for those who believe Wyatt is currently directionless.
