WWE Backlash 2016 Predictions - 10 Things That Will Happen

7. Luke Harper Will Return

Oh how I've missed you Luke Harper. The former Intercontinental Champion has been missing from action since tearing his ACL in March, an injury that has cost him six months of his career. Thankfully, Harper is due to return at any time. The options for his return are many, but the laziest and most predictable is what will most likely happen this Sunday.

I would expect Harper to return to the fold this Sunday night towards the end of the Bray Wyatt/Randy Orton match, assisting his former leader and allowing him to pick up the victory. SmackDown is severely lacking in top quality heels, and the addition of Harper makes Wyatt's act all the more credible.

Are we allowed a left-field pick? If I were in charge, I'd have Harper return to help Wyatt win, only to turn on his former leader after the match. That gives SmackDown a fresh program for both men all the way through until the Royal Rumble. Heck, it may just make Erick Rowan interesting again.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
