Are WWE working against themselves in the interest of making more money?

Sure, it's a little conceited to suggest that the mark of quality for any company is random aspiring wrestlers wanting to bless them with their presence, but it does say something for the aspirational standing of the company. Which is odd, considering Mahal's jobber to champion story is literally the most aspirational underdog story ever.
