WWE Backlash 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen

6. Asuka Retains

That's not to say Nia should come close to winning the belt, because she shouldn't.

There's no way in hell Asuka is losing that thing any time soon or to anyone not-named Shayna Baszler. She appeared to be WWE's hand-picked choice to finally end Becky Lynch's long reign eventually, so it'd be a surprise if someone else shot ahead of her in creative's plans. It'd be even more stunning if it was Jax.

No, Asuka must retain at Backlash and do so convincingly. This could be the first pay-per-view in a while without a title change, but that's alright - none of the designated challengers lined up for Sunday really tick any boxes as far as threatening the champs goes, and it wouldn't be disastrous for the show if everyone retained.

Asuka, despite getting the title because Bex fell pregnant, has deserved this run for a while. She's constantly been one of the most entertaining workers throughout this empty arena spell, and her success won't stop dead this weekend.
