Cody Rhodes isn't the only (American) nightmare around these parts.

You know the drill by now. Anybody wandering into this article series with bright eyes or bushy tails may want to wander back out, because there's almost zero room for positivity. The clue's in the name - this is about the absolute worst that could happen on WWE's next pay-per-view, and that just so happens to be Backlash this Saturday evening.

Puerto Rico's pro wrestling masses will be prepping to scream themselves hoarse for a card stacked full of twists, turns and Bad Bunny hitting Canadian Destroyers like he's f'n Petey Williams in his prime. What if the surprises Triple H's creative team have in store don't satisfy though? Worse, what if they're hellish and wreck the show?!

Cue some chilling horror movie soundtrack.

Titles could change hands when nobody wants them to, a certain Cody Rhodes could experience yet more heartbreak, top stars could tease splits fans aren't ready to see, and the recent 2023 Draft might become an afterthought to the product already.

Here's every waking nightmare you'll have before this year's Backlash show!

10. “Omos Needs A Win”

Big Omos has become a regular loser on WWE pay-per-view. His latest two PLE singles matches, at Crown Jewel and WrestleMania 39, ended with him staring at the lights for both Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar. You'd need to go all the way back to 'Mania Backlash 2022 for an Omos win on one of these supershows.

Watch this space.

Seth Rollins could be the victim of WWE painting themselves into a corner with MVP's towering giant. What if he's the one creative looks at like, 'Seth can take a loss and still look strong'? Whilst that's true, it'd also be a huge error on their part to put Omos over Rollins when the sharp-suited babyface is is in the mix for that new World Title.

Yes, it's true that Omos definitely need a win. However, beat Seth Rollins now and you're basically creating problems for yourselves further down the line - perhaps just a few short months from now, in fact.
