WWE Backlash 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

4. Damian Priest = Ex-Judgment Day

Make no mistake, this is a pressure spot for Damian Priest. He's the full-time worker here, so he'll be the one who takes flak if the 'Street Fight' sags. That's not the main nightmare focused on in this entry though. No, there's another one: Priest losing then getting punted from Judgment Day.

Granted, that'd be a huge shocker, but it's hardly impossible. Don't forget that Finn Bálor assumed control of the group from Edge last year when Damian and Rhea Ripley agreed original leader Edge had become "a weak link". Lose to Bad Bunny and Priest could find himself in the same boat.

WWE will want to move away from JD eventually.

Creative has been taking steps to present clear lines between members. Rhea and Dominik Mysterio are more of a duo than anything else these days, and Bálor is likely to start doing his own thing too. Raw's writers could get started on that split by ex-communicating Priest first.
