This week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown was classed as "a mess", according to F4WOnline's Daily Update.

Coming into Friday's show, not a single match was announced until just before showtime, with Otis Vs "King" Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn Vs Daniel Bryan being among those finally revealed. This likely has something to do with the fact that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon only turned up at around 12:30 pm, with no one else having a clue what was scheduled to happen on the show before then.

Most of the folks working backstage were completely unaware of what the latest SmackDown would consist of before the boss arrived, but this is "nothing new" as this type of scenario has been happening almost every week for some time now. Despite this, however, Ringside News are reporting that "a lot was changed, but less than usual." Apparently, McMahon has completely ripped up the script on some occasions.

When it comes the actual changes themselves, it was noted that the Sami Zayn/Daniel Bryan finish and Roman Reigns segments were among those altered. With those aforementioned moments being among the strongest on this week's show, expect McMahon to continue on with this unpredictable way of working for some time yet.
